Our flexible GRP anti-slip flat sheet flooring make the perfect addition to any environment where trip hazards can occur or where floors can become slippery. The sheets are 1mm thick and it can be secured to any flooring surface by machinery or it can be used in a doorway, on ramps or walkways and on any surface that isn’t completely flat.

The way that the flat sheets are manufactured make them flexible for use in even the most awkward of places and can be manipulated as needed while retaining their strength. Whatever surface they are placed on or whatever the shape, they will stay in place and resist cracking and peeling.

These sheets are one of the most efficient and effective products to install and they are available in a variety of colours including black, yellow and white to suit your workplace. Easy to cut on site, they are durable and long lasting and feature the same level of strength and longevity as many of the other GRP flooring products. They are also easy to replace if and when they need to be with minimal effort or fuss. If you have any questions about the suitability of this flooring for your commercial or industrial premises, please contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

The recommended technique for fitting the GRP anti-slip flat sheet flooring is to use a single fixing method. For best results, this would require the use of our structural adhesive, SP350 High Tack Adhesive or something similar.

Surface Preparation

Before the flexible sheeting is installed, you will need to prepare the surface underneath. It should be clean, dry and free from debris or residue, oil, wax or chippings, anything that could stop the adhesive from forming a strong bond between the flooring and the surface. For floors stained with grease or oil, our standard degreasing product should be applied.

Once the surface is sufficiently cleaned and prepared, you should take each of the flexible sheets and dry fit them so that they sit freely and flat to the surface. If you need to, you can trim the sheet to size. To do this you will need an angle grinder with a 1mm blade, or a skill saw with a 4mm diamond blade.

When attempting to cut or shape the product it is recommended that you wear suitable protective equipment including goggles and gloves.

Adhesive Application

Now that you have the sheets dry fitted in place, you will need to carefully apply a 6mm bead of high strength, gap filling adhesive around the edges of the underside of the flooring, leaving a gap of around 25mm from the edge.

Once the bead is applied, take the adhesive and start from the bottom left corner and come up at an angle, approximately 200mm across and then down at an angle to create a peak and a trough, repeat this until you reach the end of the material.

When the entire surface area of the panel is sufficiently covered, press it firmly onto the surface to ensure that the adhesive is evenly and adequately transferred to create a strong enough bond.

Under normal conditions, a firm bond should be achieved within about an hour. The flexible sheet is ready for normal use.
